Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are short pieces of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after several days (persistent cookies).

Cookies are stored, based on the user's preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as web beacons, clear GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and use of services.

Throughout this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by using the term “cookies.”

Types of cookies

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where "first-party" refers to cookies developed by the owner of the site itself, while "third-party" refers to cookies developed by third parties other than the owner of the site.

Regarding the nature of cookies, there are different types:

  1. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service.

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into:

navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, a purchase or authentication to access restricted areas); they are, in fact, necessary for the correct functioning of the site;

analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the site's performance;

functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users (more information in the Cookie Management section below).

  1. Profiling cookies
    Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet.

The use of profiling cookies requires the data subject's consent. Pursuant to provision n. 229 of 8 May 2014, users must be able to authorize or deny consent to the installation of profiling cookies, if present.

In the case of third-party cookies, the site does not have direct control over individual cookies and cannot monitor them (neither directly installing them nor deleting them). You can, however, manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below) or the sites listed in the "Cookie Management" section.

The User is therefore invited to check on the third-party website indicated below.
